Fashion In Transition Closet
More than 20 million children face clothing insecurity in the United States.
Clothing Insecurity
Throughout the world, there are millions of low-income families who face clothing insecurity, the lack of access to affordable, quality, and appropriate clothing. To support our community, Youth Together OLOP Youth Center created the Fashion in Transition Closet in collaboration with GSA, also known as the FIT Closet.
Fashion In Transition (FIT) Closet
Launched in the Fall of 2022, Youth Together OLOP Youth Center created a space for students and families who may be facing clothing insecurity. With the help of generous donations, Youth Together was able to set up this closet filled with various clothes, such as summer clothing, winter clothing, shoes, hats, etc. The Closet is open to all students daily from 10 AM until closing.
Gender-Affirming Fashion Show
The young people of Skyline High School’s Gender/Sexuality Association (GSA) in collaboration with OLOP hosted a fashion show to promote the launch of the FIT Closet.
